We are a passionate team of collaborators, can doers and forward thinkers. Our goal is to build a great haulage company, a company that we ourselves would want to be a customer of, and one our partners can be proud of. We want to make a positive difference in not only the lives of our people, but their families and the communities in which we operate.

Craig Mitchell – Founder

Craig founded Mitchell Corp in 1997 which became one of Australia’s largest bulk haulage business operating in four states and servicing some of Australia’s largest energy and mining business before its sale to Toll Group in 2011.  He has proven track record of positive engagement with local communities through many successful community initiatives. A proven innovator, Craig was awarded the Ernst and Young Western Australian Entrepreneur of the Year 2006.

Jamie South – General Manager Fenix-Newhaul Joint Venture 

Jamie joined Fenix-Newhaul in 2020. Prior to this he has spent 20 years in the transport and logistics industry, with 15 years of that time within the mining industry. Most recently he spent 6 years managing Dangerous Goods transportation for Toll Mining Services WA. Coming from a rural background and being a fitter by trade, Jamie has extensive knowledge of handling and transporting all goods, including dangerous goods, giving a solid base of experience to maintain a high level of operational excellence.

Tom Freeman – Newhaul Operations Manager 

Tom has over 45 years in the transport and logistics industry, more than half of which has been specifically spent in mining and logistic operations. During Tom’s career, he has held senior management roles within nationally recognised transport operators for the last 7 years as General Manager of Toll Mining Services overseeing Dangerous Goods transportation throughout WA. He has won many industry awards for his contribution to the mining industry and his innovative design solutions within the transport industry. Tom is a fitter by trade and has a proven track record of managing safe, innovative and sustainable operations.

Glenn Ridley – Newhaul Chief Financial Officer 

Glenn has over 15 years of accounting and finance experience, across a range of industries in Australia, including Mining Services, Manufacturing, Information Technology and Aged Care. He began his career at KPMG in Perth, and has worked for both large and small Australian companies including iiNet Limited, AllightSykes Pty Ltd – part of the Seven Group Holdings Group and HelathEngine Pty Ltd.
Glenn is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand and holds a B.Comm (Accounting and Finance) from the University of Western Australia.

Tahnia Livesay – Head of People, Culture and Training

Tahnia joined the team in 2021 with 10 years’ Human Resource experience across the logistics, resources, retail, government, and start up sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Business, with focus on Management, and after landing a casual HR job on Uni holidays has not looked back on continuing along this career which has taken her from Sydney to Shanghai. Tahnia is future focused and works in our business to identify people initiatives to drive outcomes in operational efficiency and effectiveness, but most importantly that will engage our team and our community who are key to Newhaul’s success.
